An Air Force aircraft, guided by the Gaza Division (143) and the Shin Bet, attacked earlier today (Saturday) a terrorist from the Hamas terror organization who was engaged in advancing a sniper operation against IDF forces operating in the southern Gaza Strip in the immediate timeframe. The terrorist posed an immediate threat to IDF forces and was therefore targeted for the removal of the threat. IDF forces in the Southern Command are deployed in the area in accordance with the agreement and will continue to operate to remove any immediate threat.
