IDF Press ReleasePolitics

The IDF attacked weapons storage facilities and military structures of the Hezbollah and Hamas terrorist organizations in several areas in Lebanon. The IDF attacked military infrastructure of the Hezbollah and Hamas terrorist organizations in several areas in Lebanon yesterday (Monday). As part of the attacks, the IDF attacked several weapons storage facilities and above and below-ground military structures that were used by the Hezbollah terrorist organization to advance terror plots against IDF forces and the State of Israel and to rehabilitate the organization. In addition, the IDF attacked weapons manufacturing sites of the Hamas terrorist organization in southern Lebanon that were used for the organization’s armament and for the execution of terror plots against IDF forces and the State of Israel. The sites that were attacked were located in civilian areas, this is another example of the cynical use by terrorist organizations of Lebanese civilians as human shields for terror activity. Prior to the attacks, many steps were taken to reduce the chance of harm to civilians, including advance warnings to the population in the area. The activity of the terrorist organizations at these sites constitutes a violation of the understandings between Israel and Lebanon and a threat to the State of Israel. The IDF will continue to operate to remove any threat to the State of Israel.
