Golani Brigade combat teams, under the command of the 36th Division, continue focused ground operations to expand the forward security zone in southern Lebanon.
During a targeted raid last week, the forces identified armed terrorists at several different locations in the area.
In ground engagements, with aerial support from the brigade’s fire complex, the forces eliminated eight terrorists, including a terrorist belonging to the sniper array of the ‘Radwan Force’ unit.
In further operations, the forces located and destroyed an underground tunnel shaft that led to a staging area from which the terrorists operated. Dozens of weapons were found in the shaft, including: anti-tank rockets, Kalashnikov rifles, machine guns, and grenades.
