Air Force helicopter crews and Unit 669 combatants are on constant alert and are scrambled in real-time to rescue the wounded quickly and safely, and bring them for medical treatment at hospitals in the shortest possible time. In addition, Unit 669 combatants are attached to forces in the field to provide initial treatment and streamline the evacuation chain in conjunction with helicopters, alongside Medical Corps teams providing life-saving treatment in the field. The effort to evacuate the wounded is a paramount value mission, and since the beginning of the campaign against the Hezbollah terrorist organization, dozens of evacuations have been carried out, including complex evacuations by helicopters that landed inside Lebanese territory.
