As part of the preparations for the opening of the Rafah crossing and under the direction of the political echelon, IDF forces have recently completed the establishment of the dedicated inspection checkpoint “Regavim,” which is managed by the security system in an area under IDF control.
The complex is part of the effort to increase security oversight in the area.
Security system forces at the checkpoint verify the identity of those entering against lists approved by the Israeli security system and conduct a thorough inspection of luggage.
