Division 162 forces have joined the expansion of targeted ground operations in southern Lebanon. Division 162 forces have recently begun targeted ground operations against additional targets in southern Lebanon, alongside Divisions 91 and 36. After two years of fighting in the Gaza Strip, and now with the completion of preparations for the mission in the northern sector, Division 162 forces will operate against key targets in southern Lebanon with the aim of expanding the security perimeter, alongside the ongoing front-line defense mission of the divisions and the Northern Command’s effort to remove direct threats and create an additional security layer for the residents of the north. Before the forces entered, the IDF attacked numerous terror infrastructures in the area using artillery and Air Force aircraft. The IDF will continue to operate with force against the Hezbollah terror organization, which has decided to join the campaign and operate under the patronage of the Iranian regime, and will not allow harm to the citizens of the State of Israel.
