The forces of the 188th Brigade Combat Team, under the command of the Gaza Division (143), have been operating in the eastern Khan Yunis area east of the ” خط أحمر ” (red line) in recent weeks, clearing the area.
The forces, in cooperation with Yahalom (elite combat engineering) fighters, destroyed an underground tunnel network hundreds of meters long, which contained three living quarters and dozens of weapons, including: approximately 45 grenades, approximately 35 magazines, about ten Kalashnikov-type weapons, RPG rockets, an RPG launcher, about ten explosive charges, and six vests.
IDF forces under the command of the Southern Command are deployed in the area in accordance with the ceasefire agreement framework and will continue to operate to remove any immediate threat.
