These materials are also used as material for producing a neutron source for nuclear weapons. In addition, the facility constituted a significant economic asset for the terror regime and served as a source of income for the Iranian Atomic Energy Organization. Its activity generated tens of millions of dollars for the regime each year. Despite explicit international commitments, primarily the nuclear deal, the Iranian terror regime systematically avoided converting the reactor so that it would not allow the production of plutonium at a military level and even deliberately ordered that the conversion not be completed. The facility was attacked during Operation “With All My Might,” and subsequently, repeated repair attempts by the Iranian terror regime at the site were identified. Therefore, the IDF has now attacked the facility once again.
