A Hamas company commander who participated in holding hostages and served as the right-hand man of senior organization officials was eliminated.

Hamas company commander involved in hostage holding and senior official support eliminated by IDF and Shin Bet in Khan Yunis.

The IDF and Shin Bet attacked the terrorist Anas Mahmoud Ahmed Hamdan in the Khan Yunis area yesterday (Thursday). He served as a Hamas company commander, a central figure in the holding of hostages in the Gaza Strip and their return process to Israel, and was responsible for Hamas propaganda in the Khan Yunis brigade.

In addition, Hamdan served for years, and during the war, as the right-hand man of senior military wing officials – Mohammed Deif and Ra’ed Attar.

Throughout the war, he was directly involved in holding hostages and was responsible for documenting the hostages during release ceremonies. He was also involved in the holding of Avraham Mengistu before the war.

Recently, the terrorist was engaged in training terrorists and attempted to advance terror plots against IDF forces and Israeli civilians. The terrorist posed a threat to our forces operating in the Gaza Strip and was eliminated in precise airstrikes.

This represents a significant and important moral closure against a terrorist who took part in the planning and security of Hamas leaders responsible for the October 7th massacre.
