Public Transportation in Israel Reduced Due to Renewed Fighting with Iran

Due to renewed Iranian missile attacks, Israel's Ministry of Transportation is reducing bus services to 75% starting June 8, 2026.

Jerusalem, 8 June, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Israel’s Ministry of Transportation determined that, in light of the state of emergency with renewed Iranian missile attacks, starting today, Monday, June 8, 2026, the scope of activity on bus lines will be reduced to 75% of regular activity, in accordance with the assessment of the situation and the Home Front Command’s instructions.

At this stage, Israel Railways, the Jerusalem Light Rail, and the Gush Dan Light Rail are operating as usual, while the cable car in Haifa is not operating until further notice.

Additional information will be provided in accordance with developments and Home Front Command guidelines.

The Ministry of Transportation recommends that the public check the latest information before setting off. The most up-to-date information on line activity and travel is available at the service centers of public transportation operators.
