Jerusalem, 23 March, 2026 (TPS-IL) — On the night between Thursday, March 26, 2026 at 2:00 AM, Israel will move one hour forward to 3:00 AM and begin Daylight Savings Time, meaning, dawn for Friday, March 27, 2026 will come one hour later.
Israel Begins Daylight Savings Time, also known as summer time, on a Thursday night because Friday is a day off for most people, and not on a Saturday night, because Sunday is the first day of the work week.
Daylight Saving Time 2026 will end at dawn on Sunday, October 25, 2026.
Israel Ozan, Director General of the Ministry of the Interior: “The transition to daylight saving time marks the beginning of a new period each year. Especially in these complex days, the extra hour of light at the end of the day provides a little breathing space – extra time for family, for activities outside the home, and for everyday life. The transition to daylight saving time also reminds us of the ability to renew ourselves and look forward with hope for quieter and better days. I wish us all a quiet and safe summer.”
