The Ministry of Health tonight issued updated guidelines to health system bodies regarding tomorrow’s activities, following a professional and updated situation assessment.

Regarding defense against possible cyber events, the Ministry of Health instructs all organizations to move to a strict and active defense level.

The guidelines for HMOs have not changed, however, emphasis has been placed on mutual assistance between HMOs in providing a response to those seeking treatment at a clinic of an HMO they are not insured with.

In addition, hospitals have been instructed to continue working to promote the transition to home hospitalization. Currently, there is no change in policy regarding semi-urgent ambulatory and elective activity, and the Ministry is working to examine relaxations on the matter in the coming days as much as possible.

In the mental health system as well, emphasis has been given to continued monitoring and treatment of discharged patients.

Regarding rehabilitation hospitals, as defined yesterday, it was determined that they must continue their efforts to early discharge inpatients as much as possible, in order to allow the admission of new patients requiring inpatient rehabilitation. In parallel, the treatment received by patients discharged as part of these efforts must be monitored. Furthermore, regarding continued rehabilitation treatment in rehabilitation hospitals and other rehabilitation frameworks, the transfer of services to a home rehabilitation model or remote medicine should be examined where possible.

In addition, the trend of expanding the opening of mother and child health stations nationwide by all service providers will continue, according to needs and organizational operational limitations, with the recommended goal being an increase to 50% of all protected stations. Up-to-date information on open and closed stations can be found on the website or by calling the Health Voice hotline (*5400).

In parallel, the mother and child care nurses hotline will continue to provide telephone assistance during extended operating hours. You can contact them through the Health Voice hotline at *5400, extension 9.

Medical committees and the National Medical Board will not be operating tomorrow either.

All institutions are requested to ensure ongoing reporting and coordination with the National Health Command Center.
