Israel Boosts Funding for Mental Health Resilience Centers
Israel approves NIS 33.6M for 15 mental health resilience centers in 2026, offering trauma care and emergency preparedness to war-affected residents.
Jerusalem, 8 February, 2026 (TPS-IL) — The Israeli government approved the continued operation and expansion of Israel’s 15 resilience centers in 2026, allocating approximately NIS 33.6 million ($10.8 million) from the Ministry of Health, alongside additional funds from other ministries. These centers provide mental health and community support to residents affected by the war, offering trauma-focused care, counseling, and emergency preparedness programs.
An extra NIS 30 million ($9.6 million) will support ongoing activities, with NIS 15 million($4.8 million) earmarked to strengthen centers in northern Israel.
