Israel's Health Ministry orders an independent review committee to examine the death of a four-week-old infant at Assuta Ashdod hospital, investigating care and.
We would like to reiterate that at this stage, after reviewing all clinical findings, a clinical link between consumption of Nutrilon products and the death has been ruled out by both the treating medical teams and the initial findings of the National Center of Forensic Medicine.
However, in order to thoroughly examine the matter, the Director General of the Ministry of Health has ordered the establishment of an independent external review committee to examine the circumstances of the death, the medical care provided, the reporting process, and the transfer of information to the Ministry, after it was found that the incident was reported late, contrary to required procedures.
Today, letters of appointment were sent to the committee members.
