Jerusalem, 27 May, 2026 (TPS-IL) — The President of Israel, Isaac Herzog, hosted the launch event of the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure’s National Energy Plan for 2035: The goal is 26 gigawatts of renewable energy in Israel.
At the event, held at the President’s Residence in Jerusalem, the goals, tools, and steps intended to lead Israel in the coming decade to a leap forward in renewable energies, strengthening energy security, and accelerating the transition to an advanced electricity economy were revealed.
The plan defines for the first time in a systematic manner the steps, steps, and tools required to translate the goals into actual implementation – while accelerating processes, removing barriers, and promoting mechanisms for coordination between all the bodies involved. The plan is published for public comments, and the Ministry invites all relevant parties and the general public to submit comments on all components of the plan.
