Israel Reports Progress in Talks to Bring More Foreign Workers from India
Israel advances trade & services talks with India, aiming to bring more foreign workers to fill critical sectors like nursing, construction, and agriculture.
Jerusalem, 17 February, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Israel’s Population and Immigration Authority said that significant progress in advancing agreements with India in the trade and services sector.
The Foreign Workers Administration, headed by Moshe Nakash, has been conducting intensive negotiations on the matter at the Foreign Ministry with an official delegation from India over the past two days.
There are currently 48,881 foreign workers from India in Israel, employed in various industries: nursing, construction, agriculture, specialists, mechanization and technology, expert chefs, construction renovations/infrastructure construction.
