Consumer Price Index Up 0.2% in February
Israel's Consumer Price Index rose 0.2% in February 2026, reaching 103.5 points, according to the Central Bureau of Statistics.
Jerusalem, 16 March, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Israel’s Central Bureau of Statistics reported that the Consumer Price Index increased by 0.2% in February 2026, compared to January 2026, reaching the index level of 103.5 points (base: average 2024 = 100.0 points). Consumer prices excluding housing also rose by 0.2%, reaching index levels of 103.6 and 102.6 points, respectively.
The consumer Price Index excluding energy rose by 0.3% and reached an index level of 103.8 points.
Notable price increases were recorded in the following categories: fresh fruit, which rose by 3.6%, culture and entertainment, which rose by 0.8%, and miscellaneous, which increased by 0.6%, food, housing, home maintenance, transportation which increased by 0.3%, each.
Notable price declines were recorded in the following categories: clothing, which fell by 3.3%, fresh vegetables, which fell by 1.4%, and furniture and equipment. For a household that fell by 0.2%.
Since the beginning of the year, the consumer price index and the consumer price index excluding vegetables and fruits have each decreased by 0.1%.
The CPI excluding housing fell by 0.2% and the CPI excluding energy remained unchanged.
