Average Israeli Salary $5,500

Israel's average monthly salary reached 15,921 Shekels ($5,500) in March 2026, an 8.8% rise from 2025, reports the Central Bureau of Statistics.

Jerusalem, 4 June, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Israel’s Central Bureau of Statistics reported that the average salary for a monthly salaried position at current prices was 15,921 Shekels ($5,500), an increase of 8.8% compared to March 2025 when it was 14,630 Shekels ($5,050).

The average salary for an employee position at constant prices (deducted by the monthly consumer price index) was 12,783 Shekels ($4,415), an increase of 6.8% compared to March 2025 – 11,965 Shekels ($4,135).

The number of salaried jobs was 3.812 million, a decrease of 8.3% compared to February 2026 (4.159 million) and a decrease of 7.5% compared to March 2025 (4.122 million).

Average salary for an employee position at current prices – According to the flash estimates for April 2026, the average salary for an employee position at current prices for all employees was 14,111 Shekels ($4,870), an increase of 3.9% compared to April 2025 – 13,576 Shekels ($4,690). The average salary for an employee position at current prices for Israeli employees was 14,409 Shekels ($4,980), an increase of 4.0% compared to April 2025 – 13,852 Shekels ($4,7875).

Salaried jobs:

According to the flash estimates for April 2026, the number of salaried jobs for all workers was 4.272 million, an increase of 5.4% compared to March 2026 (4.053 million) and a decrease of 1.6% compared to April 2025 (4.340 million).

The number of salaried jobs for Israeli workers (out of the number of salaried jobs for all workers) was 4.057 million, an increase of 6.4% compared to March 2026 (3.812 million) and a decrease of 1.6% compared to April 2025 (4.125 million).
