Jerusalem, 31 May, 2026 (TPS-IL) — The head of Israel’s National Cyber Directorate, Yossi Karadi, completed a week-long working visit to the United States, during which he held a series of meetings with senior government officials and counterparts from American cyber and security agencies. The visit was conducted against the backdrop of deepening cooperation between Israel and the United States during the campaign against Iran, which illustrated the growing centrality of the cyber arena as an integral part of national security and dealing with strategic threats.
During the visit, the head of the Directorate met with the head of the FBI, the special advisor to the President of The United States for Cyber Affairs at the White House, the commanders of Cyber Command, the head of the American Cyber Directorate (CISA), along with other senior figures in the American cyber community. In addition, he held meetings with the management of the American Chamber of Commerce and representatives of leading technology companies, with the aim of deepening cooperation between the public and private sectors and promoting innovation and joint defense capabilities.
The meetings discussed shared challenges in cyberspace, including dealing with threats from rival states, protecting critical infrastructure, strengthening national resilience in the digital space, expanding information sharing mechanisms, deepening operational cooperation between the countries, and promoting joint force building to deal with future challenges. During the visit, Karadi presented the outline of the multi-year plan currently being formulated by the National Cyber Directorate, which emphasizes strengthening cloud defense, developing artificial intelligence-based cyber capabilities, and preparing for the quantum age.
