Two Suspects Arrested in Connection to One of Five Arab-On-Arab Murders Committed Overnight
Israel Police arrested two suspects in Lod for a fatal shooting, one of five Arab-on-Arab murders overnight. The victim was in his 60s.
Jerusalem, 12 February, 2026 (TPS-IL) — The Israel Police reported that two suspects were arrested in last night’s fatal shooting in Lod, which was just one of five Arab-on-Arab murders that Israel experienced overnight.
The arrests came after investigators from the Special Unit for Serious Crime on Thursday morning opened an investigation following an incident in which a Lod resident (in his 60s) was shot to death. The shooting was believed to be connected to a conflict between Arab families.
The two suspects, both from Lod, were arrested near the location where the shooting took place, in possession of a Glock pistol with ammunition, with which the shooting was apparently carried out.
Lod is a city located in central Israel with a mixed Arab and Jewish population. It is a low-income area known for being a center of organized crime groups in Israel.
