The fight against extortion payments – senior members of the Daka crime organization and additional suspects in extortion offenses were arrested.

Israel Police arrests senior Daka crime organization members and suspects in major extortion operation, seizing cash, assets, and firearms.

During the searches, airsoft firearms, approximately 120,000 NIS in cash, vehicles, and assets were seized. According to suspicion, the suspects instilled fear, extorted threats, collected protection money, and forced various services in the fields of construction, infrastructure, and security over time from several large contracting companies building projects in the Pardes complex, all with the aim of controlling all work performed in Pardes and keeping other service providers away. The illicit funds, worth millions of shekels, received from forcing services, were laundered through companies of others that served as a cover for the criminal activity, while committing offenses against tax authorities, alongside financial damage caused by the suspects in various ways to the contracting companies. The suspects were brought for investigation at Lahav 433 and at the end of their investigation, they will be brought for a remand extension hearing.
