Jerusalem, 13 April, 2026 (TPS-IL) — The Israel Police reported that in a pre-dawn raid carried out this morning on the homes of reputed crime gang members, what it described as a “senior figure” in the Hariri organization was arrested along with 11 other organization members. During the raid, a search was conducted in which weapons, materials suspected to be drugs, cash, and vehicles were seized.

The alleged organization’s senior figure is known as “the Arbiter” of the underworld, said the police.

As part of the investigation, it emerged that organization members and their leaders extorted residents of the territories in the Samaria region through threats, demanded payments from the victims totaling millions of shekels, and, according to suspicion, made use of explosive charges.

The Police Commissioner Danny Levy: “We will continue to strike at the heads of the organizations, their economic infrastructures, and their operational capabilities, until their complete dismantlement.”
