Police Say Bedouin Murder Solved, Three Arrested
Israel Police have arrested three Lakiya residents for the murder of Osama Abu Obied, linking the crime to an escalating Bedouin family conflict.
Jerusalem, 12 April, 2026 (TPS-IL) — The Israel Police say they solved a murder that occurred in the Negev Bedouin town of Lakiya. Three suspect, brothers and residents of Lakiya (18, 19, 22), were arrested for planning and carrying out the murder of Osama Abu Obied.
The police said their investigation found the motivation behind the murder was a criminal conflict between Bedouin families that escalated into violent incidents involving criminal elements.
