Jerusalem, 12 May, 2026 (TPS-IL) — An extensive counterfeiting industry of a gang of Palestinian suspects was exposed as police and IDF (Israel Defense Forces) soldiers arrested five suspects and seized numerous forged documents, including ID cards, driver’s licenses, credit cards and court records. The arrests came in an early morning raid on Tuesday.
During the raid, the forces searched the suspects’ homes and many items were located and seized, some of which were hidden in the wall of a building, under rocks and inside mattresses.
Among the many forged documents seized in the operation were ID cards, Rav Kav (public transportation) cards, credit cards, checks, driver’s licenses and court records.
Also seized were production machines and equipment for the use and forgery of documents, phones and laptops, airsoft guns, a large amount of cash and the main suspect’s luxury vehicle. The investigation is ongoing.
According to the police, the suspects specialized, using advanced technological equipment, in forging identity cards, driver’s licenses, checks and official documents of the > 🇮🇱🇦🇷”>State of Israel. This fake documentation was routinely provided to anyone who asked for it for a fee. In effect, many Palestinians succeeded, through a fraud that posed a great security risk, in entering Israel illegally, with some of them being ‘restricted entry’ for security reasons.
