Lev Tel Aviv police arrest resident for plank attack on 78-year-old

Lev Tel Aviv police arrested a 50-year-old resident for allegedly attacking a 78-year-old with a plank, leaving him moderately injured.

The suspect will be brought this morning for a hearing on extending his detention, following suspicion of an assault incident in Tel Aviv last Sunday in the early morning hours. During the incident, a victim was evacuated in moderate condition according to medical sources to receive treatment at the hospital. Police forces were dispatched to the scene, and an investigation was opened with the assistance of Yarkon Forensic Science investigators. Following investigative actions, police located the suspect last night, a resident of Tel Aviv (50), in whose possession were findings that allegedly link him to the serious incident. During the investigation conducted by the police, the plank that allegedly served as the weapon of assault was located, bearing bloodstains. The suspect was arrested for investigation at the Lev Tel Aviv station, and this morning he will be brought for a hearing on extending his detention at the court.
