Jerusalem: 3 Arrested for Assaulting Police, Theft
Jerusalem police arrested three individuals for aggravated assault, illegal gathering, and theft, including one who bit an officer.
The suspects who were arrested are two residents of Jerusalem (55, 35) and a minor resident of Beit Shemesh (16). The individuals involved were investigated for aggravated assault of police officers, participation in an illegal gathering, and theft. According to suspicion, during the disturbances, the suspects attacked police officers who were working to maintain public order, caused heavy damage to infrastructure, and even stole items. In one instance, one of the suspects bit a police officer on the leg. The suspects were transferred for investigation at the police station, and will subsequently be brought before the court with a request to extend their detention for further investigation.
