Israeli Farmer Attacked by Palestinians Amid Rising Harvest Season Tensions

Jerusalem, 20 November, 2025 (TPS-IL) — An Israeli farmer in the Binyamin region was attacked by Palestinian rioters on Thursday, an incident that came on the heels of the deportation of dozens of foreign anarchists.

A group of 10-20 Palestinians entered the Nof Avi farm near the community of Migdalim. Witnesses said the group began shouting and threatening the farm staff, eventually throwing stones at the farm’s owner, Israel Rappoport.

“I was with two army jeeps that arrived to secure the farm. I spotted about 10-20 harvesters [from nearby Palestinian fields] who entered the farm’s grounds, adjacent to the farm, before the scheduled time and not through the security checkpoint,” Rappaport said.

“At a certain point, some of the Arabs began to shout, threaten, and go wild. One of them picked up a stone, and he and his brother started attacking me with their fists in the face,” he added. He was able to retreat and alert nearby army personnel, prompting the Palestinians to flee.

Authorities have yet to apprehend the attackers. Rappaport suffered slight facial injuries.

Rappaport said he had coordinated his harvesting work with the Israel Defense Forces.

The head of the Samaria Council, Yossi Dagan, called for the arrest of the attackers.

“In recent years, the harvest season has become a season of provocation and incitement by extreme left-wing elements and hostile elements from Israel and abroad — the harvest season has become the season of instigators. We demand the immediate arrest of the attacker and those who incite and accompany these events,” Dagan said.

He was referring to the phenomenon of foreign anarchists violently disrupting Israeli agricultural work in Judea and Samaria.

In October, Israeli authorities deported 32 foreign citizens who had illegally protested under the cover of helping Palestinians harvest olives.

Anti-Israel foreign activists, including American students, are being used by a radical Palestinian organization and told to lie their way into Israel, according to a document obtained by The Press Service of Israel in 2024.
