The indictment filed by Adv. Shira Musa Malka from the Southern District Attorney’s Office states that about a month ago, near midnight, the defendant was driving his car in the streets of Sderot, with another person beside him. At some point, the defendant began to drive after a scooter with two passengers.
During the ride, the scooter driver slowed down, and the passenger began to dismount. At that stage, according to the claim, the defendant forcefully collided with the rear of the scooter with the front of his vehicle. As a result of the impact, the scooter was thrown onto the road, the passenger was thrown onto the car’s bumper and from there fell onto the sidewalk, and the scooter driver also fell onto the road. The two got up and fled to a nearby dirt area.
Shortly after the collision, the defendant stopped his vehicle, and he and the other person, who was holding an axe, pursued the motorcycle passengers on foot to the dirt area, while shouting threats at them, including: “Come here, you sh***, come here, you k***l, I’ll f*** your mother, m***f***er, you’re dying today.”
One of the passengers managed to escape, while the other remained at the scene. The two demanded that he reveal the identity of the person who was with him, and after an exchange of words, they returned to their vehicle and continued driving.
The defendant was charged with the offense of aggravated assault.
The case was investigated by the Sderot police station.
At the same time, the court was asked to extend the release conditions in his case.
