Holy Sepulchre prayer plan approved amid safety concerns
Israel Police explains Holy Sepulchre prayer restrictions are due to Home Front Command safety directives for worshippers.
The Israel Police clarified that the restriction in holy sites without standard protected space, including the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, stems from Home Front Command directives and concern for the safety of worshippers. It should be noted that both the Western Wall Plaza and the Temple Mount are closed to worshippers, due to concern for public safety.
