Following a covert investigation, officers from the Northern District’s Central Unit recently arrested two suspects in the attempted murder of the Mayor of Ar’ara and his deputy.

As a result of the shooting, the mayor was seriously injured and his deputy was moderately injured. Upon receiving the report, an investigation was opened and assigned to the Central Unit (YAMAM) of the Northern District. Shortly before, as the investigation transitioned to public view, two suspects (residents of Araba, aged 35 and 45) were arrested, who are suspected of being involved in the attempted murder. The investigation is ongoing.
