During the standoff, the suspect threatened to harm police officers with an electric saw, and even activated the saw in an attempt to threaten the officers outside the apartment. Throughout the incident, prolonged negotiations were conducted with the suspect by an officer from the SAR unit, in an attempt to bring him to surrender and arrest. At the end of the incident and upon the officers entering the apartment, a search was conducted at the location during which the electric saw was seized, and a large quantity of suspected drugs was also seized.
