11 Thai Nationals Found Illegally Working in Israel

11 Thai nationals were found working illegally in Israel after a recent enforcement activity in Tiberias. Investigations launched against employers for illegal.

Jerusalem, 11 February, 2026 (TPS-IL) — In an enforcement activity conducted yesterday, Tuesday, by the Enforcement and Foreigners Administration, Northern Region of the Population and Immigration Authority, 11 foreigners of Thai origin were detained who were found in a residential complex in Tiberias and working illegally in Israel.

When questioned, all of the residents claimed to be employed by a beverage company, but an examination of their status revealed that they were illegal residents.

An investigation file was opened against the factory owners for illegal employment, and the foreigners were taken into custody.

The Population and Immigration Authority reiterated that employing illegal residents is a criminal offense and that employing foreigners without a regulated visa is against the law.
