Israel recognizes parachute licenses from the US, UK, EASA member states, New Zealand, Canada, and Australia under new air navigation regulations effective.
On November 3, 2025, Regulations File No. 12086 was published in the records. The essence of the amendment is the amendment of the regulations in the Air Navigation Regulations (Aircraft Operation and Flight Rules), 5741-1981, which deal with the regulation of the sport parachuting industry.
The effective date of the regulation update is November 3, 2026.
According to the renewed regulation 194a(b)(1)(b) to the Operating Regulations, which will take effect on the aforementioned date, a certified parachute rigger will be qualified for his position if he holds a license or permit as a parachute rigger according to the laws of a member state, which the Director has recognized for this purpose.
Below is a list of countries that the Director has recognized for the purpose of recognizing a parachute rigger’s permit or license issued to him by that member state in accordance with this regulation: United States, United Kingdom, any EASA member state, New Zealand, Canada, and Australia.
