The reason for this voluntary recall is a concern about the quality of the product due to an issue during manufacturing, which was discovered after customers reported an unexpected off-taste.
Consumers are requested not to consume the product marked with this expiry date.

Meitav Food Industries is collecting the product from the market in coordination with the ministry’s National Food Services.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met this evening, at Blair House in Washington, with US Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick and US Trade Represented Jamieson Greer.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, this morning (Sunday, 6 April 2025), in Budapest, met with Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Peter Szijjarto, together with a forum of senior local businesspeople.

The Prime Minister spoke with them about strengthening economic, security and technological ties, and increasing Hungarian investments in the Israeli economy.

The Government meeting held today (Sunday) approved the appointment of Elad Makdasi as the Director General of the Ministry of Communications. Makdasi (44) has been serving as the acting Director General of the Ministry since November 2024 and previously served as the Senior Deputy Director General and Director of Economic Administration at the Ministry. Before arriving at the Ministry of Communications, Makdasi held several managerial positions at the Competition Authority.

The Minister of Communications, Dr. Shlomo Karai, stated: “I congratulate Elad Makdasi on his appointment as the Director General of the Ministry of Communications. Elad brings with him significant economic experience, a deep understanding of the communications market and the forces operating within it, and a keen vision of the need for a free, open, and competitive market – important assets as we pilot significant reforms in the field of advanced communications infrastructure and in the broadcasting sector. Minister of Energy and Infrastructure, Eli Cohen: “SOCAR and bp’s entry is excellent news for the State of Israel. Natural gas is a strategic asset, strengthening our economic and political standing in the world in general and in the Middle East in particular. Thus, especially in these times, we are working to expand the production of natural gas for the benefit of both domestic and export markets”.

Minister of Energy and Infrastructure, Eli Cohen, and Director of the Natural Resources Administration, Chen Bar Yoseph, granted 6 licenses today within the framework of the Israel 4th Offshore Bid Round for natural gas exploration. The licenses were granted in accordance with the minister’s policy to explore for additional natural gas reserves, in order to ensure domestic supply and increase exports. Further licenses are expected to be granted in the future, and a fifth bid round is expected to be launched this year as well.

The licenses were granted in the area known as Zone I to the winning consortium, consisting of SOCAR, Azerbaijan’s national oil and gas company, British company bp and Israeli company NewMed Energy, with each company holding approximately one third of the rights to each license. SOCAR, which will serve as the operator for the licenses, is an established company with extensive experience in developing natural gas fields, while bp is one of the world’s leading integrated energy companies. For both companies, this will be their first entry into activity in the natural gas field in Israel. The awarding ceremony took place with the Azerbaijani Minister of the Economy and Chairman of the SOCAR Supervisory Board, Mikayil Jabbarov, and SOCAR CEO Rovshan Najaf in attendance.

Zone I, approximately 1,700 square km in area, is located in the northern part of Israel’s economic waters and was put up for offer as part of the 4th bid round in 2022. Activity in this area – which has almost never been explored before from a natural resource perspective – is expected to focus in the first stage on conducting seismic and other surveys, while the results of these surveys will inform the decision on whether to drill exploration wells.

The 4th bid round was launched in December 2022, and bids were submitted July 2023. In late October 2023, the winning companies in two of the four designated zones were announced. The remaining bid round results are expected to be published in the future.

Director of the Natural Resources Administration, Chen Bar-Yoseph: “We are happy to grant today the first licenses following the fourth competitive process, which constitutes a breakthrough in the field of natural gas exploration in Israel. These licenses, along with others to be granted later on, express an investment commitment by the companies which will be at the range of tens of millions of dollars in the initial stage and may reach even higher at later stages. The ability to guarantee the needs of the local market while maintaining energy security and an attractive environment for investment is a top priority for all those involved in natural gas policy, and we are certain that this policy will bear fruit for the benefit of the energy market and the citizens of Israel.”

A professional delegation headed by the the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure’s Director General Yossi Dayan, has represented Israel in the prestigious CERA Week conference in Huston, Texas in mid March 2025. The leading global energy conference constitutes a strategic stage for encounters among leading decision makers in the global energy market. Among the delegation’s members are Chen Bar Yoseph, Director of the Natural Resources Administration in the ministry and Amir Shavit, chairman of the Electricity Authority.

Director General of the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure, Yossi Dayan: “The participation of the professional delegation from Israel in this leading energy conference in the U.S.  bolsters our status as a significant player in the global energy market and will allow us to present Israel’s capabilities in the field. As part of the conference, Director General Dayan met with senior public administration officials on the topic of global strategy and policy in the field of energy, and with senior representatives from the U.S. Department of Energy and from leading energy companies from around the globe. These meetings were held with the aim of continuing to promote discussion and cooperation in the energy sector among government bodies and leading companies in the field.

The conference, organized each year by S&P Global, will focus this year on future challenges in the fields of energy security, reliability of supply and global climate goals. The participation of the Israeli delegation will be especially important in light of the complex energy challenges with which Israel has dealt in the past year, and will constitute an opportunity to tighten connections in the field of energy with strategic partners.

Only recently, the Israeli government has approved the proposal submitted by the Minister of Energy and Infrastructure, Eli Cohen, to extend the partnership between the Israeli Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure together with the Israeli Innovation Authority and the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) for five more years. This long standing cooperation has led so far to dozens of joint pioneering technological projects and has contributed to creating jobs and to supporting new technologies in the field.

Today, we conducted a professional visit to the business lounge at the Sha’ar Efraim crossing, led by the Director-General of the Ministry for Regional Cooperation, Gilad Shadmon. During the visit, we received a comprehensive briefing on the activities of the crossing in particular, and the Land Crossings Authority in general, from Eitan Yitzhak, Head of the Land Crossings Authority, and Sharon Baruch, Manager of the Sha’ar Efraim crossing. They provided us with valuable insights into the operation of the crossing, the challenges involved, and an important overview of Authority’s overall activities.

The close cooperation between the Ministry for Regional Cooperation and Land Crossings Authority is reflected in various fields, including the operation of the business lounge at the crossing, alongside the Ministry’s support for the Authority’s various activities over the years. This visit strengthened our understanding of the significance of crossings as key points for promoting regional cooperation and contributed to forming insights for our continued joint work.
