Jerusalem, 9 June, 2026 (TPS-IL) — An armed terrorist infiltrated Israeli territory from Lebanon and opened fire on soldiers operating in the Ramim Ridge area near Kiryat Shmona.
According to the Israel Defense Forces, troops returned fire, killing the terrorist. No casualties were reported among Israeli Forces.
Following the shooting, additional IDF units, supported by Israeli Air Force aircraft, were deployed to conduct searches and rule out further infiltrations. Several roads were blocked to traffic and the Upper Galilee Regional Council instructed residents of the nearby communities of Misgav, Margaliot and Menara to stay at home.
