Imports of Major Appliances Down in January 2026
In February 2026, Israeli appliance imports, excluding washing machines, decreased significantly, with refrigerators, dryers, and dishwashers seeing declines.
Jerusalem, 10 March, 2026 (TPS-IL) — The Israel Tax Authority reported that in February 2026, compared to February 2025, there was a decrease in imports of white goods (major appliances), except for washing machines. Imports of refrigerators, dryers, and dishwashers decreased by 2.9%, 78.7%, and 52.8%, respectively. Imports of washing machines, on the other hand, increased by 8.6%.
Since the beginning of the year, imports of refrigerators and washing machines have increased by 4.4% and 25.1% respectively. Imports of tumble dryers and dishwashers have decreased by 76.4% and 21.8% respectively.
Imports of televisions increased by 27.1% in February 2026 compared to the same month last year. Cumulatively, in January – February 2026, there was an increase of 23.8% compared to January – February 2025.
