Jerusalem, 4 November, 2025 (TPS-IL) — 350 youth and educators from Israel and around the world gathered in Budapest for a discussion on identity, Zionism, and leadership at the World Jewish-Zionist Youth Congress, a landmark international educational event that connects youth from Israel and the Diaspora around identity, leadership, Zionism, and mutual responsibility.

The congress opens today, November 3, and will continue until November 6, 2025, in the city of Budapest — the birthplace of the visionary of the state, Benjamin Ze’ev Herzl — in the spirit of the first Zionist Congress held in Basel in 1897. It constitutes a modern encounter of the younger generation with the values of Zionism, responsibility, and partnership.

During the congress, approximately 300 youth and 50 educators from Israel and dozens of countries around the world participate in discussions, workshops, and international meetings. During the congress, they formulate a new Jewish-Zionist charter and elect the World Jewish-Zionist Youth Council—a permanent body that will connect Jewish youth leaders around the world.
