Jerusalem, 1 August, 2025 (TPS-IL) — US Special Envoy to the Middle East Steve Witkoff and US Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee toured Gaza today. Following the visit, Witkoff posted on X that his five-hour stay in Gaza aimed to “level set the facts on the ground, assess conditions, and meet with the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation.” He added that the purpose of the visit was “to provide US President Donald Trump with a clear understanding of the humanitarian situation and to help develop a plan to deliver food and medical aid to the people of Gaza.”

Ambassador Huckabee shared photos from the visit on his X account and wrote that he and Witkoff entered Gaza “to learn the truth about GHF aid sites.” He added that they received briefings from the IDF and spoke with people on the ground writing that “the GHF delivers more than one million meals a day — an incredible feat!”,

According to The Telegraph, he also wrote that Gazans “love Trump.” However, the post was later deleted. In that deleted post, Huckabee is quoted as saying that Palestinians refer to the last six-story building as Trump Tower. “They love @realDonaldTrump and believe he is helping,” Huckabee wrote.
