Jerusalem, 26 october, 2025 (TPS-IL) — Israelβs Health Ministry reported Sunday that a two-and-a-half-year-old toddler who was not vaccinated against measles has died from the disease, marking the eighth fatality since the current outbreak began. All of the victims were previously healthy children who had not received the measles vaccine.
The ministry added that a six-and-a-half-year-old unvaccinated child from southern Israel is currently on a ventilator due to complications from the disease.
Parents are urged to vaccinate their children. Outbreak areas include Jerusalem, Beit Shemesh, Bnei Brak, Modiβin Illit, and several other cities, where vaccination stations are open without appointments.
