Two Israeli Soldiers Confirmed Killed in Hamas Attack Violating Ceasefire
Hamas attack on Israeli soldiers in Rafah violates ceasefire, two killed. IDF confirms Major Yaniv Kola and Sergeant Itai Yavetz among casualties.
Jerusalem, 19 October, 2025 (TPS-IL) — The IDF (Israel Defense Forces) confirmed that two soldiers were killed when Hamas terrorists fired an anti-tank missile and gunfire toward israeli forces in the Rafah area of southern Gaza Sunday morning, in violation of the ceasefire.
Major Yaniv Kola and Sergeant Itai Yavetz were identified by the IDF as the two who were killed.
In addition, a reserve soldier in the IDF’s Gaza Division was seriously wounded and was taken to a hospital for medical treatment, his family has been notified.
