Trump Touts Ceasefire While Missiles Fly at Israel

Jerusalem, 24 June, 2025 (TPS-IL) — As another wave of Iranian missiles flew at Israel on Tuesday morning, U.S. President Donald touted a ceasefire he announced overnight.

“We couldn’t have made today’s ‘deal’ without the talent and courage of our great B-2 pilots, and all of those associated with that operation,” the President wrote on Truth Social.

Presumably referring to Iran’s attack on the Al Udeid U.S. base in Qatar, Trump added, “In a certain and very ironic way, that perfect ‘hit,’ late in the evening, brought everyone together, and the deal was made!!!”

Trump’s overnight post announcing the ceasefire was not clear about the sequence of events leading up to and following 7:00 AM, nor is it clear if this morning’s salvos were a violation.

Officials in Jerusalem and Tehran have not officially commented.
