Jerusalem, 3 September, 2025 (TPS-IL) — Early Wednesday morning, a report was received of several burning cans and tires in the Rehavia and Givat Ram neighborhoods in Jerusalem. As a result, several vehicles parked there were damaged and several residents were evacuated from nearby buildings. Fortunately, there were no injuries. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s private home is in Rehavia and Givat Ram is where the Knesset and and many government offices are located.
Footage was broadcast on Israeli television showing ant-government protestors at the locations of the fires.
Police were called to the scene, along with emergency and rescue personnel, and began operations to extinguish the fire.
At this time, the police are working at the various locations together with emergency and rescue personnel and the burning cans and tires have been extinguished, thus preventing harm and risk to the public, road users and residents in the area.
The police said that the investigation of the cases continues.
