Jerusalem, 2 November, 2025 (TPS-IL) — Yosef Ein Eli, 23, a resident of Tiberias, was arrested in September on suspicion of committing security offenses involving contact with Iranian intelligence elements and carrying out security missions under their direction. This is according to a report released Sunday by the Israel Police.
An interrogation revealed that Yosef had been in contact with Iranian intelligence elements since the end of 2024 and had carried out a variety of security missions under their direction, all for money.
Ein Eli provided his Iranian handlers with information and photos about hotels in the Dead Sea region, taking advantage of the fact that he worked in one of the hotels in the area. He also provided information about tourist areas in the south of the country.
Sunday morning an indictment was filed against him.
