Jerusalem, 10 August, 2025 (TPS-IL) — Terror alerts in Judea and Samaria have dropped by 80% following a recent military operation targeting Palestinian refugee camps in northern Samaria, Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz said on Sunday while visiting troops.

The Jenin, Tulkarm, and Nur a-Shams refugee camps were “hotbeds of terror built with Iranian funding, armament and direction” and served as fronts against Israel, Katz said.

“The residents were evacuated, the terrorists were eliminated, the terror infrastructure was dismantled and destroyed,” Katz explained. He added that the Israel Defense Forces will remain inside the camps “at least until the end of the year.”
