Jerusalem, 25 June, 2025 (TPS-IL) — During Operation Rising Lion, tens of thousands of police officers, Border Police, volunteers, and members of emergency response teams operated daily across the country, handling 52 scenes of destruction and collapse caused by Iranian missile attacks, rescuing civilians, and saving lives.
Throughout the fighting, the Israel Police deployed approximately 21,000 and approximately 1,300 volunteers and members of the emergency squads every day throughout the country, who provided an initial response to every report or scene, entered the scenes of destruction, and worked to save lives while risking their own lives.
“From the Commissioner to the last police officer and fighter – the police were stretched to the limit, day and night,” said the Israel Police in a statement. “We all joined the campaign on the home front, and the many missions that the police had to face. From handling missile landing sites and saving lives, through a determined fight against spies for Iran, continuing to arrest instigators and those who aided the enemy, arresting suspects in looting in order to preserve public property, rescues on land and at sea, and also in the fight against crime – which did not cease to exist even during the war.”
