Jerusalem, 6 November, 2025 (TPS-IL) — The Israel Tax Authority’s Collection Enforcement Unit (Beer Sheva National Tax Authority) conducted an operation in Rahat – a Bedouin town near Gaza – last night, during which the unit’s employees and police officers seized 13 vehicles belonging to taxpayers who had accumulated debts with the Beer Sheva Income Tax and VAT authorization, including luxury vehicles.
The operation was preceded by field intelligence work to locate the vehicles and deliver notifications to the debtors’ homes. Along with the unit’s employees and police officers, two tow trucks and police officers participated.
“These operations are being conducted as part of the Tax Authority’s extensive activity against tax evaders,” it said. “This is within the framework of the policy of increasing enforcement activity to improve and maintain deterrence, among other things, by conducting field operations, aimed at bringing about truthful reporting and tax collection.”
