Jerusalem, 31 July, 2025 (TPS-IL) — A suspect in the murder of Almog Peretz was arrested in Cyprus after more than a year of cross-border investigative work, the Israel Police announced on Thursday.

The 36-year-old suspect, who fled abroad following the March 2024 Ashdod shooting that killed Peretz and injured two others, is now in the process of being extradited to Israel.

“We are sending a clear message – the long arm of the Israel Police will reach out at any time, anywhere,” said Lachish Commander Lt. Col. Roy Waldman.
