Jerusalem, 9 July, 2025 (TPS-IL) — Operation “Rising Lion” against Iran’s nuclear program which from June 13 to June 24. During this time, severe restrictions were imposed on business activity and only essential enterprises were allowed to operate. A trend survey was collected throughout the month of June and represents the entire month, and the balance sheet on the company’s economic situation contains the managers’ assessment of the company’s situation resulting from past performance, the current situation, and future expectations. In analyzing this balance sheet for the month of June for the various industries, said the Central Bureau of Statistics, a moderate negative impact on the balance sheets can be seen, except for the hotel industry, where this balance sheet reached its lowest point since November 2023.
(The last point is understandable since Israel’s airspace was closed and no tourists entered the country during the fighting.)
In the hotel industry, the economic situation balance fell to -40.5, an estimate that represents a continued decline since the resumption of fighting in the southern sector in March.
The net balance of the economic situation in businesses in the industrial sectors stands at 25, indicating a highly positive assessment despite the war.
The net balances on sales in industry and services are positive, while in the retail trade sectors the net balance on sales during this period is negative.
The economic balance of businesses in the Northern/Haifa and Southern districts shows a decline resulting from the Operation Rising Lion, but is still in the positive range.
However, managers’ expectations for economic activity in July are positive in industry, retail trade, and services.
