Jerusalem, 15 December, 2025 (TPS-IL) — The government of Israel approved the subsidizing of daycare centers in all communities along the confrontation line – areas near Lebanon.

From now on, every family in the conflict zone will be eligible for daycare and nursery subsidies – without an income test, but parents must meet other eligibility conditions for support tests. The move is intended to allow parents to go to work, reduce the cost of living, and encourage the return, retention, and attraction of young families to the northern settlements as part of the reconstruction and growth process after the Iron Sword War.

The 28 settlements adjacent to the fence, which have already received a designated decision in the amount of one billion Shekels, will now also receive a level 3 subsidy for five years. Residents of the remaining 95 settlements on the confrontation line, which benefit from the economic acceleration decision (with a budget of 610 million Shekels), will receive a level 5 subsidy for three years.
