Jerusalem, 18 June, 2025 (TPS-IL) — The first rescue flight bringing stranded Israeli nations home from Larnaka, Cyprus, landed at Tel Aviv’s Ben-Gurion International Airport.

Tens of thousands of Israelis have been unable to return home since Israel declared a state of emergency on Friday and closed its skies while launching airstrikes on Iran.

Israeli carriers including El Al, Arkia, Israir, and Air Haifa are participating in the repatriation effort.

Passengers were swiftly processed, collected their luggage, and were transported via shuttles and trains to cities across Israel. The Airports Authority urged the public not to come to the airport.
